decriminilize marijuana stp the war on drugs

by decriminalizing this drug, we can save billions of dollars, tax the drug to bring down the huge debt in this country and take the Drug Lords out of the picture. Since the vietnam war billions have been wasted on the so called War on drugs. Explain to the people of this country why it was made illegal in the first place, and why the govt. has allowed cigarets to remain legal. Also point out the fact that since the 1970's our govt. has mailed marajuana to at least 6 of its citizens, and continues to do so.
