Dear Jeffrey,
We, the undersigned, are greatly distressed by, and want to call a halt to advertising on television implementing the use of the following:
Screaming
Yelling
Babies crying
Sirens
Car alarms
Cell phones ringing
Burglar alarms
Dogs barking
Horns honking
Smoke alarms
Buzzers
Chain-saws
Leaf blowers
Continuous beep sounds
Any loud tool or machine noise
Static
Don't we come home to get AWAY from these sounds???
Please use your authority and/or influence to rid consumers of these annoying and unnecessary noises on television advertising. We choose what we watch on Tv (to an extent) - but we cannot choose what commercials are advertised for those programs. Having those stressful noises forced upon us while we are trying to relax at home only adds to more stress and outright agitation. Advertising executives can surely think of better ways to promote products by not using annoying sounds and situations. Call for them to be more creative and less condescending to the consumer.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter,
The Undersigned
