GIVE FARMERS BACK THEIR RIGHTS TO PROTECT THEIR CROPS

The Horticulture Industry in Queensland has been crippled by the State Governments decision to ban DMPs which previously allowed farmers to protect their orchards from attack from flying foxes. No phase out period was given, and farmers orchards across the state were decimated by flying fox attacks last season. With only two months to go and no solution found, as promised by Tim Mulherrin - Qld Primary Industries Minister - farmers and their crops are facing the coming season unprotected, many facing a dire financial situation if they cannot protect their crop this year.

To Queensland Primary Industries Minister Tim Mulherrin, and The Premier of Queensland Anna Bligh.
Please wishes of the  Petitioners and Queensland farmers in the Horticulture Industry, by re instating DMP's for crop protection against flying foxes.
