The word MARRIAGE or not...

Many people argue that we should not be able to get married, some contend that it is in the bible and Christians used the word marriage first, so it is "theirs". Only some of course. My question is if it was called something else, but came with ALL the same privileges as a legal marriage. Would you care what it was called?
