Raise Server Wage /Indiana

Minimum wage has increased, yet the wage for servers is still at $2.13 an hour. Indiana is among on of the six states that still pay servers $2.13 an hour. Cost of living is increasing and patrons are not tipping as much. State and fedreal taxes are becoming more difficult to pay. If you elect to pay for health insurance, a server's paycheck just can't cover the expenses. Please sign this petition if you agree that it's time to raise the wage of Indiana's servers.
"We the undersigned," are  concerned about the Indiana hourly wage for servers. Taxes, price of living and health insurance premiums are rising as well as regular minimum wage. Why has Indiana decided not to increase the wage of servers? We are still at $2.13 an hour. This doesn't even cover the federal and state takes taken from our checks. If we elect to have health insurance, then we are forced to owe even more at the end of every year. Indiana is overdue for a server wage increase. Please sign our petition, so we can present this to our state senator. Our concern needs to be considered. Thank you for your support.
