Save Tina, Jewel and Queenie!

Dear Mr.Vilsack, (United States Department of Agriculture Secretary)

My name is Audrey Lee Pelster and I am 7 years old. I am telling as many people as I can about Tina, Jewel, and Queenie. They are elephants who are 40 years old and have suffered in the circus for a long time. They have been treated badly, whipped with bullhooks (long sticks with sharp hooks at the end), and did not get to see doctors when they were sick. They have had burns on their legs from their urine ( pee) not getting washed off, cuts on their ears and bodies from being hurt with bullhooks, and Jewel even lost two thousand (2000) pounds she was so sick and sad.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is in charge of making sure elephants and all wild animals are taken good care of in circuses. The USDA already knows about lots of times that Tina, Jewel, and Queenie have not been taken care of and mistreated badly, but have not rescued them yet.

John Davenport who has Tina, Jewel and Queenie is not supposed to have any wild animals. He lost his license to have wild animals back in 1997 when he broke the law by hurting elephants. He even let a baby elephant named Heather die in a trailer in the hot desert. He keeps changing his name and using his family so he doesn't get caught and keeps mistreating the elephants and other wild animals.

I am asking as many people as possible to sign this petition to have Tina, Jewel, and Queenie released from the circus where they are mad and sad. You can tell this from an elephant when they bob their heads back and forth.

The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee said they will adopt Tina, Jewel and Queenie. They will take good care of them and love them, and they will get to roam free on 2700 acres of land with trees and lakes. They will be happy, and not sad anymore.
