This is a petition drafted to allow those of you unable to attend our NVDA 10/15/2011 from 12pm – 4 pm at the Public Beach in
Gulf Shores ,AL during the 40th Annual National Shrimp Festival . This action is to bring awareness to The thousands in attendance of several concerns still facing the residents of the Gulf Coast as a result of the BP oil / Corexit disaster last year !
Here are the issues we'll be addressing:
1. The Faulty Claims Process of the GCCF & Ken Feinberg
2. Our continued concern over Seafood Safety and testing
3.The Health Issues arising from Crude & Corexit on the clean up workers & residents .
4. Raising awareness to the issues with BP and their clean up and removal of the dispersed oil ,tar mats, tar logs & tar balls that
continue to endanger wildlife as well as humans and are still washing up on a daily basis all along the Gulf Coast
5. Raising awareness of the need for Clean renewable energy for the Gulf as well as the rest of the county in order to limit and or eliminate the need to further degrade the ecosystem .
We the undersigned wish to raise awrness to the fact that theses issues still face many along the Gulf:
