URGENT: Say NO To PreGrad Orientation during winter break

Please have a look at this petition and add your signature if you agree that the PN student nurses of Centennial College should be treated fairly and offered a PreGrad Orientation time when class resumes during the week of January 6, 2020.
Have you already made plans for your winter break?

Are you scheduled to work, go on vacation, spend time with family, or to simply enjoy your downtime to rejuvenate after a rigorous fall term?

The fall term ends on December 13. Centennial College students are scheduled to return to class on January 6, 2020.

It is unacceptable and a violation of student rights to implore us to come in during our winter break, nor should we feel pressured to return to school during the winter break (Thursday January 2, 2020) when only notified during the week 13 of the term.

By now we have booked our flights, scheduled work hours, and committed to family engagements.

Enough is enough!

It time for all nursing students of the Centennial College to stand in solidarity and request that the PN programs administration reschedule the PreGrad orientation when students return from their holiday break.

We humbly urge the PN administration to consider the personal lives of the PN student through:

Timely notification of important activities that impact our academic status and enrolment.

This includes events/activities such as Paramed clearance due dates, clinical setting dates and time, pinning ceremony etc.

Refrain from responding to students with a "no other option" attitude.
