Pledge to Treat Everyone You Encounter with Respect

Such commitments are the foundation for human rights.

The UN agreement on human rights is founded on the principles that all deserve respect and should be free from attacks including verbal, physical and depriving of dignity.

Pledge to treat each and every person you encounter with respect.  This includes:

All face to face encounters;

All telephone encounters;

All social media encounters (e.g., comments on this site); and

All emails, IMs, text and voice messages.

This includes both people you agree with and have a disagreement with and means that you will not be rude, call them names or otherwise treat them with disrespect.
