Think Pink

My 13 year old daughter and one of her friends colored there hair hot pink well Bizzles is half hot pink and other half is blonde. I love the fact that they have the confidence to even do this. I have always taught my kids to be who they are. Individuality and freedom of expression are an important part of growth and development. A child should be able to freely express themselves as long as no harm comes to them or another person. Studies show it is detrimental to a child to force them to be anything but who they are and doing so causes role confusion and insecurities in the future. Not to mention that the school themselves are violating my child's rights. I find it funny that in school you learn the Bill of Rights and then they turn around and violate them. Just because they are children doesn't mean they don't have the same rights as we as grown-ups have.
