Interstitial Cystitis is a chronic bladder condition often with unknown etiology. It is a blanket name that encompasses the numerous disorders that cause what is known as IC, however doctors and other medical professionals have FAILED to identify specific causes and treat them accordingly. As of right now, there is NO CURE for the diagnosis of Interstitial Cystitis and millions of people are SUFFERING. The condition most often effects women, though it does also effect men. For most - Due to the CHRONIC and nearly CONSTANT bladder pain, nerve pain, frequency, urgency, spasms and other associated symptoms, otherwise healthy people with Interstitial Cystitis suffer a vast majority of their lives! IC sufferers go through several treatments and often THOUSANDS of dollars with no true solution, and many of the interventions that are available cause further pain and discomfort, because the root causes for each individual who has this disorder goes unrecognized. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Aside from physical symptoms, which have been likened in severity to pain experienced by those with cancer or receiving dialysis, IC sufferers are also more inclined to suffer depression and anxiety. Likewise, IC can severely reduce quality of life in other ways. It affects relationships, time with children, the ability to work, sleep, intimacy, finances, and MUCH MORE. Let's do something about this!
