DEMAND SOUTH MAIN ST AND EAST FRONT ST TRAFFIC SLOWED DOWN TO SPEED LIMIT

Speed Limit on South Main St coming into town from the south is 40mph at the Woodford County Highway Departement and goes down to 30mph at the property line of 205 S. Main St. It is 30 mph leaving town on South Main until past Woodford County Highway Dept. Traffic in front of 205 S Main has been clocked at 50-55 mph by police at times in the past with vehicles coming into town and leaving town. I, April Wagner, have started video taping and recording license plates of the vehicles speeding into and out of town. This is very dangerous for residents backing out of their driveways, families with small children going for walks/riding bikes, children playing in their yards. On South Main St there is a family that has small children and an in house daycare, grandchildren playing outside at other residents houses.
On East Front St. the speed limit is 25mph. Traffic is going well over the speed limit and is very dangerous to back out of drive ways, people walking/riding bikes and children playing in yards. Possible solutions to these problems would be speed bumps, extra police presence everyday and/or solar powered speed indicator signs.
