Petition for the fair treatment of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay

We, the undersigned give our names and voices for the fair treatment of detainees who are currently being held without charges in the US controlled Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp in Cuba.

We the undersigned understand that the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp defies several human rights written under UN international law, including the basic treatment of prisoners such as "all prisoners shall be treated with the respect due to their inherent dignity and value as human beings," which was adopted and proclaimed by general assembly resolution 45/111 of 14 December 1990.

We the undersigned want the government to take immediate action against the unlawful treatment of the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay.
