AGES: 18 ...Thank you!!! :)
The Country Hollow Pooch Park Committee is a group of Walnut, CA residents representing different neighborhoods within our city that are campaigning to enhance our community by having the city create a dog park for the enjoyment of the many dog owners within our community.
Our Goals:
1. To provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment for dogs and their owners to exercise and play together with others off-leash. (There are many people who cannot physically walk their dogs-this would be a great service to them aswell.)
2. To permit owners to support their dogs behavioral stability through socialization with other dogs and people.
3. To support a social environment for the many dog owners in the township and to cultivate lifelong friendships.
5. To develop a well-maintained space open to all dog lovers who are willing to uphold the park's rules and regulations.
6. To view this park as a comunity gathering spot designed o satisfy theneeds of dog owners and non-dog owners alike.
By Joining this Petition I JOIN THE COUNTRY HOLLOW POOCH PARK COMMITTEE IN ITS REQUEST THAT THE CITY OF WALNUT PROVIDE AN OFF-LEASH DOG PARK FOR ALL OF US TO ENJOY.
I'M A WALNUT RESIDENT & AGE 18 AND OVER.
NOTES:
* Many Walnut residents travel to Claremont, Long Beach, Silverlake, or Fullerton to enjoy off-leash dog parks.
*The City of Claremont did its reports and they showed that dog parks make non-significant levels of noise, smell, natural hazards, and dont affect local property values so neighboring homes would not be affected.
*On its busiest day, a dog park will have anywhere from 0-10 dog owners in it at a time. (maximum of 2 dogs per dog owner allowed at one time)
*People who frequent dog parks are responsible dog owners who's dogs are on voice commands and who make sure the parks are kept clean & that everyone else follows rules.
*Dog parks have shown to make dogs more social and less dog & people gressive.
*Dog parks are a great source for the elderly & handicapped to let their dogs get the socialization and exercise they need when they cant take their furry friends out for a walk.
