Bring Exemptions Back For Students of the HRSB
On November 2, 2009, highschool students were notified by the HRSB that exemptions were being revoked from all students due to the current H1N1 pandemic. It was thought that so many people needed their exemptions that people would go to any length in order to keep a perfect attendance; even if that meant coming to school with H1N1 and putting the health of other students in danger.
The case of the matter is, who will go to class anymore now that exemptions have been taken from us? How many more people will be failing courses this year, with nothing to encourage us to maintain an exemplary attendance?
For all of you out there who know their graduation is counting on that one exemption these next two semesters, please sign this petition and encourage anyone and everyone you know to do the same.
We the students of the HRSB are not allowing our exemptions to be taken away from us for the year of 2009-2010. Are you graduating this year? Do you have big plans for your future? Is there a university awaiting your transcripts, which may not be up to their standards now that you have to write that Calculus, History or Second Langage exam?
Sign this petition to get back what you believe in and what you work so hard for.
