David Eskey's Law

We are working to modernize estate laws in California, Washington State and at the Federal level so that the Eskeys (and other families like ours and the Clarks) can reclaim control of our estate assets.

The general plan is to revamp laws that allow families to appoint independent guardians to better manage estate assets, and to base these decisions on factors such as length of marriage, blood relations vs. step-families vs. outsiders and/or incompetence (poorly managed assets, capital gains vs. losses over the years, waste, abuse, etc).

We the undersigned, support this petition to revamp laws that allow families to appoint independent guardians to better manage estate assets, and to base these decisions on factors such as length of marriage, blood relations vs. step-families vs. outsiders and/or incompetence (poorly managed assets, capital gains vs. losses over the years, waste, abuse, etc).   This petition will alleviate the escalation in cases of estate fraud and elder financial abuse caused by the increase in step-families and remarriages, and will save the states court costs, as investigation into elder financial abuse is costly and time consuming.

Thanks for taking the time to help us raise the awareness of this issue across the West Coast, and ultimately across the country.
