Headstarts all around the Country are filled, and leave hundreds if not more to be on waiting lists, never to recieve the education they desirve. There are many children in need of headstart's early learning environment and there are so many with learning disabilities that dont even get the extra help they need because of the fact that there is not enough room for everyone. Take a stand with me and sign this petition saying "every child has a right to early education in headstarts and preschools, therefore proper funding for larger building and staff is needed to ensure every child does not get left behind... or put on another waiting list...
My son has NF, a serious dissorder/disease and has caused serious learning dissabilities. Being 4 years old he is too old for state help and just right for headstart to take over, but they have had him on a waiting list for over 2 years!!!!! This is rediculous!!! He needs special help due to his disabilities... How many more are experiencing this situation or one like it! Lets put an end to the waiting lists, and tell congress to give headstarts the means they need to open their doors to those on waiting lists too!
