Keep Stephen King at St. Michael's

On Thursday April 17, 2008, Stephen King was kicked out of St. Michael's for leaving campus for lunch. This is a severe overreaction and his actions should not warrant expulsion. There is no doubt that leaving campus without permission during school hours is a punishable offense, but much worse behavior is overlooked. Students who drink alcohol and partake in other illegal activities including use of tobacco and other substances rarely ever suffer the severity of punishment that has followed Stephen King since his arrival at SMA. Many students who are caught skipping school are not expelled. We want Stephen treated the same way.
