We the people of South Carolina, along with family,friends,and other animal lovers are demanding that you address the pet overpopluation crisis. for months emails have been ignored, yet animals are dying by the thousands and shelters are in deplorable conditions.
South Carolina Ranks 48th in State Animal Protection Laws | Lowcountry Dog. This is one of our State's shames. We need upgrades to all SC shelters, vaccines,wormers, and HW testing to keep them from being sick and to help fight the ongoing illnesses so common in shelters. We also need mandatory spay/neuter and a breeders license for the breeders, this will create accountability. You can no longer ignore this problem. The animals of our State are entitled to protection and humane treatment whether in a home or shelter. We also need stronger laws for pet abusers, it has been proven that pet abuse is a stepping stone to domestic abuse, you must address these critical issues. if not then another Governor will be selected. The pain and suffering we witness and the animals endure is beyond acceptable. This is not progressive nor humane. What will be your stand?
