SHARON McDONOUGH IS A MENACE TO SOCIETY

The undersigned are asking that you incarcerate the defendant, Sharon McDonough, of Selden, New York, before, during and after her trial. She is charged with multiple counts of animal abuse. She obtained cats and dogs and possibly other animals by buying them, adopting them, taking them home from the street and stealing her neighbor's beloved pets, causing the children in these families unspeakable pain and fear of never seeing their pet again. She forced her own children to help her with the torture and they were too terrified to refuse. Mrs. McDonough lost her husband in a car accident and appears to have become mentally disturbed as a result, but rarely do people take sadism and abuse to this level over the death of a husband that for all we know, particpated in these activities or was somehow led to his death by her coldblooded sociopathic personality. She
is too dangerous to be loose in society. There is a direct link between animal torture and serial killers. This is a known fact. You may not have any cause or reason to think Mrs. McDonough has committed homicides, but she did get away with what she has been doing with animals for quite some time. She also may have another house or garage or rented property in an isolated area with hapless animals waiting to die or starving to death. Tearing down her house, uncovering the basement floor and totally taking the place apart might reveal that she has done a lot more than what is known. Isn't someone who can torture and kill little cats and dogs at a shocking level and continuity capable of just about anything in that ballpark? We the undersigned are asking that you remove this woman from society. We also ask for the enactment of a law that will permit serious jail time for a crime of this nature. A person this dangerous should not be out on the street. She is most likely manipulative, good at convincing people that she is, indeed, innocent and probably has a confident belief in her ability to get the court to see things her way. Please do not let this happen. Please, for the sake of children, animals, and other vunerable beings, remove her from society for as long as the current law permits. Thank you for listening to us.

Please consider the feelings of the people who signed this petition and the other people who most likely are writing and calling you. We have lost our innocence when it comes to trusting anyone with our pets or children.
There are manipulative people who can convince the most intelligent court of anything. For the facts to be there, and Sharon McDonough to plead "Not Guilty" and be free to walk the streets only to show up at court dates, is very upsetting to many. As a former Criminal Justice student, my belief is that this depraved behavior has been going on, if not at her house, elsewhere perhaps, for a very long time. I believe she is a cruel, abusive, sociopathic personality that will use her husband's car accident to lie her way out of this situation. If you consider tearing her house down and looking under the basement floorboards, or any location she has stayed at before, you might find another chapter in her quest to satisfy this need to be sadistic and cruel. It had to always be within her. Basically we are asking for the longest possible incarceration on the books for crimes committed in this ballpark. Also, we would like to see her behind bars or in a hospital now, because she is a free woman no matter what anyone says and she is not being watched 24/7. No cat or dog is safe that crosses her path. They could be someone's pet, and a child will be crying about their little friend not coming home. There is no doubt that Mrs. McDonough will be the focus of many people's nightmares for months to come. It's important that a new law and a strict law, be enacted. Please try to make this a landmark case. Thank you for representing the people not only of Suffolk County, Long Island, but from all over the world.
