Formal Apology BET for MJ "Tribute" BET Awards 2009

  • by: just a fan.
  • recipient: Black Entertaintment Television Under Viacom Networking

Please help spread the word against a show that not only offended but shocked so many around the world!

Literally three days after the passing of the greatest music Icon who ever lived, this mockery of a tribute show was aired.

With much anticipation and ratings beyond belief came disbelief.

The BET awards 2009/so-called "tribute" to the King of Pop MJ just ended yet...

People were left wondering one question,"Where was the tribute?!"

The tears is our eyes have not even dried...and that's for those who have stopped crying.

Please force the BET network to release a public statement apologizing.

If they honestly think they did a great job, then let them defend themselves. We are fair fans of MJ. After-all, that's what Michael always fought for...A chance to speak out against what was wrong and human emotions.

Please don't stop here, write your own letters/emails. Let your voice be heard. We are not black or white , men or women, children or seniors... we are a people bound by one common language: MUSIC.

Let your voice be heard & never be silenced!

R.I.P Michael J. Jackson
We truly love you and miss you.

BET,

We come to you not to merely criticize, but to rather express our sheer disappointment.

Millions of people tuned in for the most anticipated BET award show yet/of perhaps all time, and we were shocked.

Yes, we may not be able to go back in time or give you more "time". However an apology is in order! Just admit that the show was not as planned. Try to at least comfort the raising tensions.

This show was made mere days after the death of the greatest music icon, humanitarian, and influence on music died!

With that being said, please try to understand our frustrations and suggestions.

Rather than be downright hateful and negative, we are trying to at least do right some of the anger felt after the viewing.

If you don't believe us, then we will let the signatures do the talking.

R.I.P. Michael, we know you are in a better place.
