Call for the ICC to take action against Julius Malema
Julius Malema is quite possibly the single biggest threat to democracy and peace in South Africa in our modern time. He, and his followers, seek to polarise our country, and actively call for crimes ranging from theft to murder of minorities in South Africa.
He is, in fact, guilty of a hate crime, as set out in the Genocide Convention of 1951, Article III, clause c, and very probably of other crimes that fall within that category. He is also in direct contravention of the Rome Statute.
South Africa is a signatory to both of these documents, and as such, the ICC has the required jurisdiction to step in, and stop the hate speech!
South Africa is heading towards all out civil war or genocide, at the hands of Malema and his followers, and we would like the international community to step in and stop it!
After the holocaust, the world said never again, but if we're not watchful, and we don't take action, it's entirely likely that it will happen again, in South Africa.
If you believe that Julius Malema must be stopped, and that he is guilty of incitement to genocide, hatespeech, and an orchestrator of racial hatred and violence, then sign this petition, and help us to make the world see!
We, the people of South Africa, believe that Julius Malema, the current leader of the ANCYL and future presidential hopeful, is guilty of incitement to genocide and hatespeech, as defined in the Genocide Convention of 1951, and the Rome Statute.
We further believe that due to government and judicial corruption, South African courts are either unwilling or unable to stem the flow of hatespeech, or the calls for criminal activity against South African minorities, and that his hate speech and hate crimes will escalate as a result of this.
We therefore call on the United Nations International Criminal Court to intervene, as is within their jurisdiction, and to investigate and try Mr. Malema in accordance with international law.
Without swift, and decisive action, we fear that the racial polarisation, hatred and violence in South Africa will escalate, and we would like to plead with the ICC to exercise their mandate and prevent this.
