End H&M's practice of throwing away clothes!

In New York, H&M stores throw away countless articles of clothing only a block or two from a charity that distributes coats to the poor.  This clothing has never been worn and could be used to keep the poor and homeless warm during the middle of the winter.  Demand that H&M revise their practices!  Sign this petition and boycott the store.  Not only is needless waste harmful for the enviroment it is harmful for humanity too!

We the undersigned respectfully demand that H&M clothing revises and examines its discard policy regarding unsold clothing.  Instead of throwing out unsold clothing in the dead of winter, we ask that the company devise a plan that gives back to the community, such as donating unsold clothes to charity.

In New York, where one third of the population is poor, we are aware that your store ruins and then discards clothing instead of donating it to charity.  This is unacceptable from both a humanitarian and enviromental standpoint.  We the undersigned have pledged to shop elsewhere until your company policy is revised for the betterment of society.

Thank you for your time and thought in addressing our concerns.  Sincerely,
