The Euthanizing of Animals in Shelters

We the undersigned, are concerned about the euthanizing of animals and also the neglect of animals in shelters. The humane society has done much in the past, but there is still so much more to do. I have been to shelters where the animals were in environments that were dirty, cramped and filled with the animals own feces. I know that The Humane society can not save every animal from abuse... that would be too much, but please get involved in trying to end the euthanizing of our animal friends. There are many who do not get a pet at shelters, because they see the conditions and are afraid of the animal being dirty or having disease. They must realize this is not the case. It is not the animals fault. Then the most horrible happens... the animal is euthanized and thrown away like garbage. Sometimes literally thrown in the garbage. These practices must end. Our animal friends deserve better from us. They care for us... we must do likewise.
