Veterans were willing to give their lives for what they thought was for us, just to return to

LETTER TO THE PUBLIC: Please sign if you care! Our Vets are Under Assault Can anyone explain in this Country why the Veterans returning from wars that shouldn’t even have occurred being treated as if they were the “terrorists?â€Â They give everything they have, even to the point of their lives to do right by this country just to return home to no mental medical help, no jobs, and no one who really cares. Yes there are Vets who are organizing to help each other, but they did not offer up their lives for just themselves. Why has everyone else turned their back on them? Has it become so easy to think of them as disposable as the plastic bottles we drink contaminated water out of? This country is becoming worse than any third world. At least they have respect for those who give it up to make a change or correct a wrong for their society in general? When troops return to the U.S. from active duty, there is no help for them. It does not matter how many fake phone numbers that are put up for Vets to call for help, no one answers; I can testify to that. When you cry out for months for help, no one cares, they just say “we don’t care what they did for our Country, they are in the United States now and we’ll do as we please.â€Â When a Vet makes life mistakes returning from combat, why is it so hard to understand their minds cannot in any way be the same? Why are they so easily forgotten? Is it just all about God Bless the Child who’s got his own? I thought this was the Republican mantra, but in the county of Monroe, who supposedly turned Democrat this term, it’s the same old game. Get the money and finish off killing the rest of the veterans lives. Leaving them to live in the streets, or die, and have substance issues that are to numb the thoughts of war and still no one gives any compassion? At this point in time, prior to the elections coming in November, we as citizens of Indiana need to take a long look inside our hearts and decide whether the lives of these people who did what they were told to defend OUR rights have been downgraded to second class citizens for lack of a less proper word S***. Yes, everyone makes mistakes and have a hard lesson to learn. But, when you have done all you are asked of to repay your mistakes, take your money, do your time and they still stab you in the back and take away your ability to earn a living, take care of our family and kill of any sanity they may have had left, how is this any less than murder? Or, is it still the same ole’ “torture is Ok in the U.S.A.?â€Â It is nothing less than torture. How can this be done when all they wanted to do is live a life on the right side?We are asking that anyone who knows a Veteran or has similar situations going on currently to stand up and make your voices heard. It is not fair that a less than 1% of this country due their duty to our land and security to be treated as if their lives are useless. In Monroe County, even though we have a supposed “Democratâ€Â in the Prosecutors office, there is still no compassion. It sounds as if positions have switched. The Republicans get away with calling our Veterans braggarts. We need to stand up for these Americans. They gave their all for duty to country. We know Democrats seems to care about Unions, I do to. I was born walking a picket line with my parents. BUT what about the real hero’s in this land; don’t they deserve at least one extra chance as the average Joe “I’m going to live my life and to hell with yours people in this land.â€Â I’m pleading and begging for this Country, State, and Monroe County to get it together and judge Veterans fairly. They are not in the same place as the average citizen and this was not their choice to go to war. Men and women just trying to do the right thing; just to come home and have their lives taken at a slow torture instead of a fast bullet. There needs to be a legal court system set up for returning Vets who find themselves unable to cope with life on life’s terms when they return.

We the undersigned want a change to take place. Our Vets are Under Assault Along with the UnionsCan anyone explain in this Country why the Veterans returning from wars that shouldn’t even have occurred being treated as if they were the “terrorists?â€Â They give everything they have, even to the point of their lives to do right by this country just to return home to no mental medical help, no jobs, and no one who really cares.
