Expel Cornell Students for Degrading 'Pig Roast' Sex Contest!

Members of Cornell University's Zeta Beta Tau fraternity were caught holding a fat-shaming sex contest called a "pig roast." In the contest, pledges earned points for having sex with overweight women. If two contestants slept with an equal number of women, whoever slept with the heaviest woman won. The women were unaware of the contest, and therefore unable to consent to participating.

Cornell put Zeta Beta Tau on probation for two years, but that punishment does not go nearly far enough. Behavior like this that seeks to devalue women contributes to rape culture and is exactly why sexual assault is so prevalent on college campuses across the country.

Please sign this petition urging Cornell University to expel the students responsible for the contest and to close this chapter of Zeta Beta Tau.

Cornell's vice president for student and campus life, Ryan Lombardi, called the game "abhorrent" and admit that "[b]ehavior that degrades and dehumanizes women contributes to a climate and culture of tolerance for sexual violence." And yet, the school basically condoned toxic rape culture by only giving the fraternity probation and letting the individuals involved off the hook.

We must hold men accountable for sexual misconduct. Please sign now, and let's make sure Cornell gets these men off campus today.
