James Bond Needs A Female Director!

The upcoming James Bond film (referred to as "Bond 25") may be in jeopardy after shocking news that director Danny Boyle has dropped out of the project over "creative differences" — but don't worry, I have a plan to save it.

The iconic character of James Bond has excited audiences for decades, but the character's outdated misogyny could use a much-needed update. One reason, EVERY James Bond movie has been directed by a male director. The film franchise is painfully overdue for a change.

Sign and share my petition to tell Bond's producers and James Bond actor Daniel Craig to make a change and hire Bond's FIRST female director for the upcoming movie!

Next year's James Bond movie is rumored to be Daniel Craig's last time as the character. In his last four Bond movies, he's done an amazing job in showing a new emotional depth to the character — while still keeping 007 as fun, cool, and intense as the old school movies.

But for this last movie, Daniel Craig and the Bond team could do something really different to make sure this movie has a fresh perspective and adds new life to the franchise — by hiring a female director!

Tell Daniel Craig and James Bond's producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, to hire a female director for this latest James Bond movie.

There are so many amazing female directors that have more than proven they could handle a big-budget action movie like James Bond — Wonder Woman's Patty Jenkins, A Wrinkle in Time's Ava Duvernay, or You Were Never Really Here's Lynne Ramsay are just a few of the outstanding female directors that could really make this next James Bond movie special.

Plus, female and non-binary directors are still embarrassingly underrepresented in Hollywood. A recent study showed that only 7% of the top grossing films are directed by women. This has to change now!

It's time to bring a new energy and fresh perspective to James Bond. Sign and share my petition calling for James Bond to hire its first female director!
