Demand an end to unjust PTO determinations! Your healthcare hero’s need a break!

Mount Nittany employees have had a very turbulent year and there is no end in sight. We have been expected to give our whole lives to save the community and employer and we just keep losing our mental health and moral. Now, summer vacation cannot be planned due to denied PTO. We are continuously told, "we are hiring, we are hiring." Then why has the PTO continued to be denied since fall?
Many were forced into 12 hour positions, leaving little option for shift coverage and less days we can call off.

We demand allowing employees, who want, to pick up an extra shift so an employee can plan a much needed vacation, or mental health day.

We demand occurrence accumulation be cleared and start from zero at the start date of our new positions.

We demand that PTO be paid out when maximum hours have been reached as to not lose it.

It is so disheartening to see the very administration that put us in this position able to vacation and PTO whenever they choose but your work force thats navigated through all these hard times, does not receive that right. We earned the hours, we should be able to use them! As moral continues to sink, we would like employee satisfaction surveys to go out and taken into consideration to fix the tool this year has taken on your employees.
