Demand an end to Police killing mentally distressed populations

This petition is for the many killings of unarmed black and brown people challenged by mental illness, and who have been killed by the police. It is unacceptable for the police to kill people experiencing a mental health crisis. The recent murders of Walter Wallace Jr is an example of the police not using their resources to ensure that human life was saved with supports from the community. In signing this petition you stand in support of the police changing their culture and working collaboratively with social work/ mental health practitioners to end the mental health disparities in vulnerable communities.
