Stop Instagram from shadow banning artists.

If you have an Instagram / Facebook profile you probably have seen the blue promote button at the bottom of your post. Instagram has made their platform accessible for those who can pay for the reach. Meanwhile, artists, entertainers, influencers, photographers, local businesses, and organizations have had their reach limited due to the algorithm change. Now posts that meet code get deleted, or worse.. the individuals profile becomes flagged, and they're shadow banned. This means that less than 10% will see your work in their feed regardless of them following you. Models have the issue of being flagged as sex workers, and photographers have their work viewed as porn. Local businesses that can't afford to promote never get seen, and when you pay to promote it doesnt change the visibility of the post by much. It is a money making scheme that isnt fair to users of the platform. This may not seem important to some people, but to those who work hard at promoting themselves and run their own business it is important to have a social media reach. This petition is to improve, and / or go back to the standards that Instagram and Facebook once had. It's unfair to create a platform that guarantees community, but doesn't allow for the people in it to be seen.
