Urge Starbucks to Recognize Easter as a Paid Holiday

*Starbucks does not consider Easter a holiday because it falls on a Sunday (a day when federal and state employees do not work).

*Starbucks employees are not allowed special "request off" priviledges nor do they receive holiday pay for working Easter day.

*Starbucks corporate employees are not required to work on Easter, because it falls on a Sunday. However, most Starbucks cafes are open seven days a week and cafe employees do not get this day off.

*Most malls, retails stores, and restaurants close on Easter.

*Help Starbucks employees receive fair compensation for working on a day considered to be a public holiday.

Starbucks does not consider Easter a holiday and remains open on this day. Because it falls on a Sunday, a day when corporate workers and federal and state employees are not requiered to work, it is not considered a federal holiday. However, Starbucks remains open and their employees do not receive holiday pay. Help tell Starbucks corporate to recognize Easter as a paid holiday.
