In his comminty, Clarence was an activist who was involved in all aspects of service to improve the quality of life for his neighbors. He was a member of the Black Comminty Council of Crown heights, Brooklyn, Ny; the Steering Committee for the 11th Congressional District (Major Owens); President of the 100 Men for Congressman Owens; a memeber of Vanguard Independent Democratic Association and the NAACP. He also served as a New York delegate to the democratic Covention and he was the founder and served as Commissioner of the Interborough Youth Sports Complex, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Clarence was affliliated with the National Conference of Black Lawyers and he was founder and coordinator of the National Black Police Association (NBPA) Northeast Region and the Grand Council of Guardians - NYPD Inquiry Panel.
