Children Should NOT Be Treated as Second Class Citizens With School Toilets

  • by: Jane Cox
  • recipient: Make school toilets the responsibility of the Health Department and local counsel in England and Australia and everywhere.

School toilets in Australia and England do not come under the authority of the Health department or local counsel. Every other public toilet does and are policed by the Health dept or a Health official from the local council.
Without this audit system school toilets are left up to the school Principal to administer and in many cases do not have soap available and are of a poor standard below that which is expected by the Health Dept. IN defence of the school Principal this is due to vandalism and unsustainable soap systems and education programs. If we make this an issue for the Health Dept and the local counsel then the government will be forced to find an answer and not leave it on the school Principals lap to explain away.
