FORMATION OF A STUDENT COUNCIL AT LAHORE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

The students don't have any platform available through which they can voice their concerns, many of the students have ideas that could ultimately lead to improving the quality of life of students at the Lahore School of Economics. The students who are accused of violating regulations and partaking in misconduct have no means of voicing their own story and are at the complete mercy of the administration, the student body deserves to have proper representation in such cases.

This petition is to request a platform through which the students, many of whom have brilliant minds, can channel their ideas, we believe that such a platform is an absolute necessity to prove that the student body is as capable as many instructors believe, and to groom them to become better leaders for their future endeavours. Actively pushing down the student body and shunning their many ideas proves to hinder the their ability to perform as they enter their professional lives. Simply being directed about what to do is unbecoming of a school such as LSE and in the opinion of the current and past student bodies, is the only obstacle that deters the school from becoming a university.

The administration must realise that the students are more than vermin and pests who are always up to no good, this platform is essential to change this mentality that is prevalent in the administrations general perspective of the student body. A platform such as this will ensure that both the students and the administration can take steps together towards making a better educational institution, one which would shine throughout the country as a place where students can receive a quality education while also receive grooming to become better leaders for tomorrow.
