Tell Joe Biden to name Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman Ambassador to Ukraine

  • by: OD Action
  • recipient: Former Vice President Joe Biden

After 21 years of exceptional military service, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman retired from the U.S. Army because he "determined that his future in the armed forces '[would] forever be limited' due to the political retaliation by the President and his allies."

A purple heart-recipient with renowned expertise in his native Ukraine, Lt. Col. Vindman, had the audacity to report the grossly impeachable offense to his superiors. For that bold, patriotic act he was eventually fired from the NSC, dragged through the mud by the most corrupt administration in American history, and told by his superiors that he would "no longer be deployable in his area of expertise."

Facing years of ostracization and the likelihood of a lengthy "rehabilitative assignment" beneath his quality and rank, Vindman retired from military service, robbing the U.S. of a national hero and prized, principled security expert in a critical theater of international importance.

Urge Vice President Biden to commit to naming Vindman Ambassador to Ukraine upon winning the election for president this November. Such a posting would rightly restore Vindman's honor, vindicate his act of patriotism, and – perhaps most importantly – give the United States an indefatigable leader of unquestioned integrity at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
