The Calgary Airport is collecting deicing fluid in open ponds at the airport.
This fluid mixed with rain water starts to rot and smell.
Here is a link to a CBC Article about the problem from 2020:
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/calgary-stormwater-pond-stink-odour-smell-1.5543173
The smell is carried to Calgary communities all around the airport, depending on wind direction thru out spring and summer. (smells like Raw Sewage)
Goals :
1.City of Calgary to revoke the operating license for the Glycol recycling plant till it has a solution for the smell( like storing the fluid in closed thanks not open ponds)
2. YYC Airport to work out and put in place a solution to stop the smell from effecting nearby communities (store the fluid in closed thanks or out side of Calgary city limits)
