Covid-19 Relief for Cannabis Companies and Consumers in California

During this unprecedented crisis the cannabis industry has been deemed essential. With this comes new responsibility, increased risk to employees and new costs for PPE and other new issues that arise during this time. Cannabis farmers CANNOT have access to any relief funds, even though they are required to pay federal taxes. Stress, anxiety and other health issues are exacerbated  during times of high stress. Cannabis has been proven to provide relief for people with many different ailments including stress and anxiety.  Many cannabis consumers of California are experiencing financial hardships during this time.

I'm asking you to sign this petition that encompasses three measures of relief for the industry and consumers.
1. No retail or cultivation tax for the remainder of 2020 calendar year. This would relieve not only farmers, and distributors but also the consumer that does  not have a medical card at this time.
2. 90 day extension to pay renewal fees for state liscense through CDFA and BCC.
3. 90  day extensions on incomplete state application deficiencies with CDFA or BCC as counties and municipalities figure out how to work from home on cannabis planning.

Please sign this petition. We need show the state we stand behind cannabis businesses. We want to see them be able to afford to protect themselves and their employees while still delivering the public much needed medicine and products.
