Adequate parking for NHS staff and students! expand the car parks at RSH & PRH!

To get adequate parking for hard working NHS staff to prevent them from receiving fines.

I am a student nurse based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Faculty of Health. Today I recieved a fine of £40 to my disbelief for parking in a "non staff parking space"...trouble is when there aren't adequate designated parking spaces for staff.. Where would they like us to park? We pay monthly/yearly to be able to park and more often then not have to park on a curb, grass verge or somewhere off the hospital site! The car parks aren't maintained, there are pot holes everywhere and I and other people I know, have had flat tyres because of these pot holes! CP Plus must make a hefty profit from the numerous of fines issued and from the increasing charges to patients/visitors to park at the hospital.

The profits must be ridiculous for a company such as CP Plus... So why do we not see any improvements to staff parking? Surely to help solve this issue, parking for staff could be expanded?? (Or would this reduce the profit made off the fines issued on a daily basis?)

Hard working staff fear they will get a fine for parking at their place of work in a non staff space, when they are simply trying to provide a service to the public, we face challenges every day, why should parking be a challenge before we even step through the door?
