NO MORE Gravel Pits in Polk County

  • recipient: Urge Polk County Board of Adjustment and your Town Board to honor the Comprehensive Land Use Plan of 2007 which stated that the people of Apple River townsip in Polk County, Wisconsin DID NOT want anymore gravel pits to be developed!

Do we want more noise,decreased property values, dust, truck traffic, air pollution, water pollution, ground water draw-down, continual encroachment of neighboring property and other health hazards from ANOTHER gravel pit? Polk County already has 64 active mining pits.  Opening another155 acres of farmland that will NEVER be restored to its original intent. Is this healthy for you??
