Demand an Improvement into the support for Army personnel suffering PTSD

In the past few weeks there have been multiple examples of soldiers taking their own lives on Army bases while suffering PTSD or other forms of depression. There seems to be a reluctance on the part of some officers to recognise the possible effects of PTSD and a reluctance recognise that it may not simply be a case of soldiers going AWOL and to institute a search .This results in delay in locating the missing soldier .The lastest of these instances involves Jordan Corcoran at who was missing for 9 days at Weeton Camp before his body was discovered nearby.
It must be written into Standing Orders that in cases where a soldier is known or suspected to be suffering PTSD the absence and circumstances must be reported to the Police and a full and comprehensive search undertaken of ALL areas of the base as soon as the absence is reported.
