Put a Stop Sign at Frankford and Montgomery Ave

The intersection of Frankford and Montgomery Avenues in Fishtown has some of the heaviest pedestrian traffic in the neighborhood, and is a very popular crossing between the El train and multiple neighborhood activity hubs like Shissler and Fishtown Rec Centers, KCAPA and Penn Treaty School, Adaire, By My Side and My Bright Beginnings, Liberty Choice Market, and more.

But this intersection is too dangerous as-is for the local families, seniors, and students who use it every day. Vehicles often speed through this part of Frankford at 40 to 50 mph, and sometimes even faster—in just the last few months, two speeding cars flipped over near this intersection.

It's time to put pedestrians first, and tame traffic on this section of Frankford Avenue.

Sign and share this petition with neighbors in the area, and help amplify our request to the Streets Department, City Council, and PennDOT to install stop signs and crosswalks at Frankford and Montgomery.

(Note: It really helps to include your street address, or at least your block number, so we can demonstrate to the City that there is strong local support.
