When owners started picking up their pets from the hotel earlier this year, it was clear something was wrong. Sam, a sweet golden retriever, returned home with a matted coat, gummy eyes, an intense thirst, and unusual weight loss. When you take your dog to a pet hotel business like this one, you expect them to be safe, not sick.
Upon inspection of this sham business, it became clear that things could have gone even worse for dogs like Sam. Bags of feces were laying around the building, and the kennels were completely dark.
