Help us build a new Marie Curie hospice in Solihull

We, the undersigned, support the building of Solihull's new Marie Curie Hospice on the Marsh Lane site in the Green Belt.
The Marie Curie Hospice, Solihull, has provided free care to thousands of terminally ill people and their families for over 40 years, but the aging building makes it very hard for the charity to improve its services and reach more people

A new hospice built on land off Marsh Lane will ensure that we can offer this support to many more patients for generations to come. The new building will also enable us to provide enhanced day care and outpatient services for patients who are able to remain at home.

Although we propose to build on a Green Belt site on the edge of Solihull, there are very special circumstances to justify its use.

The site is contained by two major roads on two sides, housing on Marsh Lane, and public open space and housing to the north. Not only has it taken us eight years to find it, but it is the only suitable site within the required three miles of the existing hospice.
