CYFD Injustice and support for the Garcia Family and the return of baby D

The Garcia family has been foster parents for four years. They have had anywhere from three children at a time, up to as many as 11 children at a time.

They are experiencing tremendous grieving at this time due to the injustice by CYFD Albuquerque. They were falsely accused of allegations against one of their foster children, which all who know them it isn’t true. They have supporting documents, friends, family and professionals pouring to support them against these allegations, because we know they are not true.

CYFD has taken their baby D away from them, when they were in the process of adopting her. They have had baby D since birth, she’s fifteen months old. Christina has many documents that support her innocence against the allegations, but yet no one all the way to the Governors’ offices, wants to sit down and review their side, or even look at the documents she has gathered and compiled. Or the many reference letters that are pouring in on their behalf. CYFD wants them to turn over their documents and they would look at them. But just yesterday I was present when Arlene Lucero, Governor Martinez constituent called and in conversation told Christina that; they (CYFD) doesn’t always look at all references. CYFD has yet to call any one of their references, who have even witnessed the allegation she faces.

The Garcia’s want their name cleared and their baby D returned immediately. They have already adopted a sibling group they have had for going on four years, and their children are not doing well with the loss of their sister and the fact that the treat of them being removed is hanging over their heads.

The Garcia’s are welling to sit down with top officials, in order to expedite this matter, but no one wants to look into it.

CYFD has violated many policies and procedures and HIPAA laws, but no one wants to even seem concerned. The case in reference has been handled inappropriate and misconduct by the staff on the case; but CYFD wants to blame the Garcia’s for something s so CYFD doesn’t get looked at and their misconduct be swept under the table like so many horror stories we hear.

We know CYFD is suppose to handle keeping our children safe, but in this case, the Garcia’s home is the safest place any person could visit and live in. We who known them for many years, have been in their home on many occasions; CYFD has come announced and unannounced, you could drop by any time and their children were always happy and very well behaved and her home clean. We know Christina as Mother Theresa, because she is. There are many mothers out there, which wish they could be half of what she is for children. She is a mother, a care giver, a teacher of love, support and guidance. Christina is a mother, who teaches responsibility to her children to do the right thing, and a person of outstanding character. The allegations are no where near her in any way. No one of us believes that she is even capable and her documents support the allegations incorrect. She and her husband Gil have always taken pride and making certain that all the children in their home have been taught and treated with great respect.

The reason we are starting this petition for them is to expedite this situation to be looked into by higher up and outside CYFD. Their baby girl is without her family, they are without baby D and their children are without their sister. This is a travesty. We need t help, to bring this to light so baby D is not adopted out before this process is looked into. If you believe in fighting the strong arm threat of government, please sign and support the Garcia’s and their children including the return of baby D.

The Garcia’s are willing to speak to anyone about this situation. They want their contact information given out the petition can serve as help for them to get some officials to look into this matter. Governor Martinez and other governmental officials have spoken about cleaning house in government corruption, well it’s about time we do that and do it now.
