KEEP A MURDERER IN PRISON

September 13, 1998. The worst day of my life. My mother Janne L Walters was murdered by her live in boyfriend Randall L Gochanour. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison for 1st degree murder. Not nearly enough in my opinion. After 5yrs he decided he had served enough time and filed for clemency. His reasoning.... it was an "accident" and he should have been convicted of Involuntary Manslaughter. Had that been the case he would have served his time and been released by then. The Governor said No.

Well here we are once again in 2019. Evert time he does this it's like ripping the scab off once more. It brings it all back again and it feels like it was just yesterday that I received that phone call.
He was found guilty of 1st degree murder in less than an hour by a jury of twelve. Becausse that's exactly what it was. He told Janne on numerous occasions if she ever left him he would kill her. Which is what she was doing that night. He beat her for 11yrs. She had finally realized she was worth more than what he was giving her.
Randall thinks he should have the right to walk out of prison alive. My family and I feel he gave up that right when he snapped my mothers neck in the middle of her kitchen with his bare hands. In his words "she laid on the floor making gurgling noises" while he smoked a cigarette. When he did decide to check on her and realized something was very wrong, he didn't call 911. He called a friend Rick. Then he called his sister. When Rick arrived and told him to call 911. he refused. Rick called 911.
My Moms brain stem was completely severed from her spinal cord. How can that be an accident? Its not. My Mom left her house in a body bag. I feel that's how he should leave prison.
