Call on the Australian Government to Help Fight Famine

Food prices have drastically increased here in Australia, but in countries already facing life-threatening hunger, the recent conflict in Ukraine has worsened this global food crisis.

UNICEF is there before, during, and after a crisis. We are present in countries where food scarcity is increasing, working with local partners to deliver programs for children and families in need. While we are rapidly scaling up support, we can't do it alone. The extent of this problem requires all governments to do their part.

Alongside several organisations, UNICEF Australia is urging our new government to deliver $150 million to support communities in the Horn of Africa, Yemen, Afghanistan and Syria, to help save millions of children from life-threatening hunger.

Will you call on the government to do our part to prevent famine?

Sign our petition and we'll write to your local MP to call on them to push the government to do their part in responding to this urgent crisis. Together, we can show that Australians want a foreign policy shaped by fairness, equality and compassion.
