These ads encourage youth to buy tobacco products! Stop it now! This benefits no one and harms everyone!
Hello, all! I have been troubled for a long time about tobacco product advertising in magazines. I know efforts have been established to end this kind of thing before, but, as you can see, they have failed. Join with me to change this!! We cannot do it alone, and it will take hard work, but we certainly can do it together.
Here's why I am bothering to do this: for as long as I can remember, I have seen tobacco product ads in magazines galore. The companies have everywhere else to advertise, why here? I'll tell you why, they target teenagers (which make up the majority of all magazine readers in the U.S.) and get them hooked when they are young so they will continue to keep spending their money. They are paying to poison themselves?! Maybe, just maybe, if we can take tobacco ads out of magazines we can take them out of other places too. It's a start, so help us finish it!!! Help make an effort to start cleaning up America. If accomplished, we might breath cleaner air, walk on better ground, and attain better health!
