Help protect patients, biotechnology jobs, and our innovative economy in Maryland

Maryland's life sciences and biotechnology industries are critical to our local economy. It is vital that federal policies protect Maryland's innovation ecosystem and the lifesaving cures and treatments it delivers.

Current proposals including those that allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices could jeopardize Maryland's biomedical innovation ecosystem and the jobs that depend on it.

Help us protect Maryland biotechnology jobs and innovation in Maryland.

Join us today and send a letter to Maryland federal lawmakers encouraging them to protect Maryland's biotechnology ecosystem by rejecting policies that curb development of lifesaving therapies and Maryland life sciences jobs.
Dear Senator Cardin,

As a Maryland resident, I encourage you to continue protecting Maryland jobs and patients by rejecting drug pricing proposals allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices.

Recent studies found that Maryland's life science industry employs 54,000 Marylanders and includes over 3,000 life science companies. Proposed policies allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices will hinder Maryland's ability to develop, test, and provide lifesaving treatments and cures to patients across the state and country. It is vital that we protect the life sciences jobs and thousands of companies across the state that work every day to find cures for debilitating diseases impacting patients, combat health inequities, and prepare for health crises.

Please do not support current drug pricing legislation such as Medicare negotiation. Maryland's 3,000 life sciences companies need a strong innovation ecosystem to protect their ability to deliver crucial biomedical innovations to patients.

Thank you,
