Support Pathways to College to help under-served students of color reach their college dreams and highest potential

Pathways to College is an after-school program providing information, guidance and support to help kids of color from low-income communities become the best high school students, college applicants and college students they can be to prepare for lifelong success. While Pathways welcomes all students of color, we focus on under-served African American high school students, whose potential has been marginalized for generations. Since 2003, 100% of our graduating Scholars have earned college acceptances.

When Isaac was a Scholar at Pathways, he considered transferring high schools to be closer to home. But one of Isaac's Pathways teachers so believed in him and so wanted him to stay that this teacher drove him to and from school every day, 18 miles each way. "She became like my adoptive mother," says Isaac.

While a Pathways Scholar, Isaac twice earned all-state athletic honors, and his academic brilliance earned him a coveted Gates Millennium Scholarship. At the College of Wooster, he double majored in computer science and philosophy and was the first person in his family to graduate from college.

Isaac now owns Haki Labs and teaches website design and coding to mostly students of color at public high schools in low-income communities.

Pathways teachers gave Isaac the community, skills, education and resolve to build a business that elevates students to a position in which they can compete on a level playing field – just as Pathways did for him. You can help elevate the next generation of Pathways Scholars today – sign our action to pledge your support and join the Pathways to College family.
