Shut Down Fraternity for Racist, Anti-Semitic, Sexist, and Homophobic Video!

Theta Tau, Syracuse University's engineering frat, is in hot water — and for good reason. A video has recently surfaced showing frat brothers mocking minorities and women, using what school Chancellor Kent Syverud called "racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, sexist and hostile to people with disabilities."

In one part of the video, a frat brother is forced to his knees while he repeats a disgusting oath that targets everyone from African-Americans to Hispanics and Jews.

The "oath" went something like this: "I solemnly swear to always have hatred in my heart for n-----s, spi-s and most importantly the f--king k---s,"

That is just one of several other video clips in which the frat members poke fun and degrade members of minority groups whose experiences they will never understand.

Now the University has launched an investigation to identify the people in the video. But it isn't just the frat members that should face repercussions. Theta Tau — the "oldest, largest and foremost Fraternity for Engineers" — has shown itself to be a cesspool of hate and aggression towards other members of the student body.

Frats and Sororities like Theta Tau should no longer be allowed to hide behind the tired excuses that they were "just having fun" or " didn't mean any harm." These young men and women will become leaders, hold positions of power and have the ability to shape the future of our country. If they are taught that they can get away with this despicable behavior it will only fester and continue.

Sign the petition and tell Syracuse that Theta Tau has got to go. Tell the university to ban the fraternity from campus.
